NICOLE CALDERÓN
I'm an art industry leader and art and culture advocate. I have a love for deeply focused cultural stories in art.
I'm the Founder and Director of Calderón, an arts organization founded in New York City with a focus on artists from Latin America and the diaspora. We've been covered by Holland Cotter at the The New York Times and Valentina Di Liscia for the Financial Times.
I prioritize institutional relationships and placements to make permanent and publicly accessible contributions to culture and art history.
Previously, I worked with Tina Kim Gallery in New York as Managing Director where I spent six years developing expertise in the Korean Dansaekhwa art movement.
I was also Director at Timothy Taylor in New York where in 2019, I forecast the 2020/2021 growth of the Latinx art market category by producing the first exhibition at the gallery of contemporary works by artists from the Latin diaspora.
